Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has surpassed 800 million total streams on Spotify, placing her among a select group of Nigerian artists to reach the milestone across all credits on the platform.
Savage’s catalogue blends Afrobeats, R&B and pop, a sound that has earned international recognition. Her 2020 album Celia was named among Time magazine’s top 10 albums of that year.
She has also featured regularly on Spotify’s annual Wrapped lists for Nigeria’s most streamed female artists, ranking eighth in the 2025 data.
Over more than a decade, the multi-award-winning artist has released songs that have performed strongly both locally and internationally, including collaborations such as “Ma Lo” with Wizkid, solo releases like “Koroba,” and her appearance on Asake’s “Loaded.” Her music continues to record significant listenership in Nigeria, the United States and the United Kingdom.
The 800 million stream mark reflects sustained audience engagement rather than a single breakout hit. Savage is a Berklee College of Music graduate who began her career as a trombone player before working across the UK and Nigerian music scenes. She has collaborated with international artists including Beyoncé, Sam Smith, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Brandy, Nas and Craig David.
While Spotify does not publish official all-time stream rankings, available data indicate that a combination of lead releases and featured appearances has driven Savage’s cumulative totals.
