According to the source article, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has identified Burna Boy as her preferred choice for a future musical collaboration.

The singer made the remarks during a Billboard interview with Love Island USA personality Chelley Bissainthe, where she discussed her career growth and her nomination for the 2026 Grammy Awards.

Reflecting on her journey, Ayra Starr described her latest Grammy recognition as a moment of reassurance. She explained that while her first nomination came as a surprise, the second reinforced her confidence in her path and creative direction.

Ayra Starr noted that she has worked with several artists over the years and remains open to further collaborations. However, she emphasized that Burna Boy stands out as the artist she most hopes to work with in the future.

The singer earned a Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category for Gimme Dat, her collaboration with Wizkid released in April 2025. The nominations were announced in November 2025, ahead of the Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled for February 1, 2026.

She added that the recognition has encouraged her to trust her abilities and continue pushing forward in her career.
