Ayo Maff was born Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele on 18 July 2005 in Lagos, according to his Music In Africa artist record. That makes him 21 years old as of 10 August 2026. Strong reporting places his upbringing in the Somolu–Bariga area, while the names of his parents, siblings and schools remain outside the reliable public record.

Music started before a professional release. He told The Guardian that he rapped with friends and disrupted classes during primary school, becoming known among classmates as the “music head.” Later, he and his friends pooled savings to pay for studio sessions and filmed freestyles for social media.
