
Asake Becomes Most-Streamed Artist on Spotify Nigeria
Asake tops Spotify Nigeria’s all-time streaming chart, ahead of Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido, as the platform marks five years.

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has emerged as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria.
The streaming platform released its list of the top five most-streamed artists in Nigeria as it marked the fifth anniversary of its operations in the country. Asake secured the top position, followed by Wizkid in second place and Seyi Vibez in third. Burna Boy ranked fourth, while Davido completed the top five.
Spotify also unveiled the most-streamed songs of all time in Nigeria. Asake again led the chart, with his track “Remember” claiming the number one spot. Ayo Maff and Fireboy’s “Dealer” ranked second, followed by Fido’s “Awolowo” in third place. Wizkid’s “Kese” placed fourth, while Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” rounded out the top five.
Beyond Nigeria, Nigerian music also dominated Spotify’s all-time streaming charts in Kenya. Ruger’s “Asiwaju” topped the list, with Ayra Starr’s “Rush” and Fireboy’s “Bandana” ranking second and third, respectively. Kenyan singer Bein’s “Inauma” took the fourth position, while Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” ranked fifth.
On Spotify Ghana, “Wotowoto Seasoning” by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck featuring Ghanaian artist Black Sherif emerged as the most-streamed song of all time. Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” placed second, while Black Sherif occupied the third, fourth and fifth spots with his songs.
