Jamaican singer Timmy Love has unveiled a reggae-inspired rendition of the classic song “Forever Young,” originally written by Alphaville members Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens.
The new version blends the song’s enduring message of hope and timelessness with the warm rhythms of reggae, offering a fresh interpretation of the well-known hit.
According to the report, the remake introduces the beloved anthem to a new generation of listeners while giving it a distinctly Caribbean musical identity.
Timmy Love, who hails from Saint Mary Parish in Jamaica, is known for drawing heavily from the island’s rich musical traditions. His performances often focus on themes of love, optimism, and a vision of a better future.
Inspired by music legends such as Michael Jackson and Bob Marley, the singer has spent decades developing a sound that blends reggae with elements of R&B, pop, and hip-hop.
His music career began in 1996 with the release of his debut album Light Up Your Heart. Over the years, he followed up with several projects including My Inner Feelings (1999), Buss the Place (2001), A Little Time With You (2002), and Cool Water Rhythm (2005), which featured collaborations with artists such as Ghost, Tony Curtis, Hero, Singer J, and Teflon.
The reggae remake of “Forever Young” arrives alongside his latest album, Time of Your Life, which highlights a shift toward stronger pop influences while maintaining his reggae foundation. The project also features the single “The Greatest.”
Over the years, Timmy Love has built a reputation as an international performer, touring across Africa, Japan, and the United States. His live shows combine reggae’s soulful energy with storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
