Davido is stepping into a new chapter of his career with ORIADÉ, a tightly packed album shaped by African pride, global collaborations and reflections on his rise.
According to [The Sun], the Nigerian Afrobeats star released the 13-track project on July 31, 2026, describing it as the beginning of another phase in his 15-year journey through music.
The album brings together several voices from Africa and beyond. Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, FOLA, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay all appear across the project.
At 13 songs, ORIADÉ is Davido’s shortest studio album. His previous five albums each contained 17 tracks, making the new release a clear break from the format he had followed for years.
Davido first announced the album’s release date on June 29. The reveal arrived through a social-media video showing him dressed in regal Yoruba clothing while a traditional Yoruba eulogy played in the background.
“The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne,” he wrote alongside the announcement, introducing the royal imagery that surrounds the album’s title and presentation.
ORIADÉ is Davido’s sixth studio LP and his seventh major project since he entered Nigeria’s mainstream music scene more than a decade ago.
The rollout began with “I Know Who I Be,” featuring South African duo JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay. The song looks back at Davido’s career, the distance he has travelled and the milestones that have defined his public life.
Its video takes the story back to the childhood home where his musical ambitions began. Longtime collaborators and members of his team also appear, connecting his early years with the global career that followed.
Davido continued the rollout with “Gimme Dat Ting,” a collaboration with NO11 that blends Afrobeats and Amapiano. The track centres on confidence, ambition, success and enjoying the rewards of years spent building a career.
