Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, known professionally as Sarkodie, has sold out the Royal Albert Hall in London ahead of his upcoming Rapperholic UK concert.
The event is set for March 6, 2026, which aligns with Ghana’s 69th Independence Day. Organizers say all 5,272 seats at the venue have been booked weeks before the show.
The Royal Albert Hall is considered one of London’s most prestigious performance spaces and has hosted leading artists across multiple genres. Music industry observers note that selling out the hall is a significant milestone, particularly for an African hip-hop act.
Rapperholic started more than a decade ago as an annual concert in Accra before expanding into an international franchise. The UK edition reflects the continued growth of the event beyond Ghana’s borders.
The concert is expected to draw a mixed crowd, including members of the Ghanaian community in the UK and international hip-hop fans. Reports also suggest the event could boost local hospitality and tourism as fans travel in from across Europe.
Sarkodie has teased a high-production show, with reports indicating a live orchestra and surprise guest appearances from UK and African collaborators.
