Popular Nigerian TikTok content creator Peller has issued a public apology after being arrested and detained by the Lagos State Police Command over an incident involving dangerous driving and an alleged attempt at self-harm.

In a video that circulated widely on social media, the influencer expressed regret for his actions and appealed for forgiveness from the public. He acknowledged wrongdoing and assured viewers that he would not repeat such behaviour, adding that he was receiving medical care and would return online after completing treatment.

The incident followed the public confirmation of his breakup with his former partner, Jarvis. She had earlier announced the end of their relationship, citing concerns over Peller’s emotional stability and behaviour.

Police authorities confirmed that Peller was taken into custody after his conduct was assessed as a serious threat to both himself and other road users. According to the Lagos State Police Command, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when he was allegedly livestreaming while driving recklessly. The episode reportedly led to a major traffic accident along the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.

Law enforcement officials said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. Peller is expected to be charged in court once inquiries are concluded.

Reacting to the case, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and digital creators against promoting or displaying unsafe conduct online. He stressed that actions capable of endangering lives would attract firm legal consequences.
