Afrobeats star Omah Lay has confirmed the release date for his highly anticipated second studio album, Clarity of Mind. The Nigerian singer announced that the project will be released on April 3, 2026, ending months of speculation from fans who have been awaiting the follow-up to his debut album.

The announcement was made on February 6, 2026, when the Grammy-nominated artist shared the update on his social media platforms. The upcoming album has been in development for nearly two years, with fans closely following hints and previews about the project.

Album to Feature 12 Tracks

According to details shared by the singer, Clarity of Mind will contain 12 tracks. Several previously released singles will appear on the album, including “Holy Ghost,” “Waist,” and “Don’t Love Me.” These songs have already generated strong reactions from listeners and have helped build anticipation ahead of the album’s official release.

While the full tracklist and featured artists have not yet been revealed, industry observers expect the project to include contributions from Tempoe, a longtime collaborator of Omah Lay. The producer previously worked extensively on the singer’s debut album Boy Alone.

Tempoe also produced the Grammy-nominated song “With You,” a collaboration between Omah Lay and Davido, and has confirmed that he worked on at least two songs on the upcoming album.

High Expectations After ‘Boy Alone’

The new project arrives with significant expectations. Omah Lay’s debut album Boy Alone received strong critical and commercial reception, establishing him as one of the leading voices in contemporary Afrobeats.

The Port Harcourt-born singer is widely recognized for writing emotionally driven songs that explore themes such as love, vulnerability, and personal struggles. His recent single “Don’t Love Me” reflects this style, offering a candid perspective on romantic relationships and commitment challenges.

Recording Challenges Behind the Album

In earlier comments to fans, Omah Lay revealed that the album’s release timeline had been delayed. The singer said he was forced to restart the recording process after discovering that another artist had allegedly copied elements of his sound.

The final project will be released under Keyqaad, the label that has supported the artist since his breakout in 2020 with the EP Get Layd, which introduced him to mainstream audiences.

With the release date now confirmed, fans can expect more details about the album—including its full tracklist and possible collaborations—in the coming weeks.
