Method 1: Download with the official NINAuth app
1. Install only the official app
Download NINAuth from Google Play or the Apple App Store. The Apple listing is published by the National Identity Management Commission. Do not install APK files from social media or unknown websites.
2. Sign in and verify
Open the app and register or sign in with your NIN. Complete the verification steps. Your phone number should match the number linked to your NIN.
3. Open NIN Slip and download
On the app home or menu, open the NIN Slip option. Preview the slip, then use Download or Share to save the PDF to your phone.

4. Print the PDF
Open the PDF and print it from your phone, a computer, or a print shop. Keep a clear copy. Do not let strangers photocopy or scan your slip for “verification.”
Method 2: Print from the NIMC portal
NIMC’s Mobile Digital ID page explains portal printing with a UserID and a short-lived OTP, then download from myportal.nimc.gov.ng.
1. Get your UserID and OTP
If you still use NIMC’s Mobile ID app, open it, then tap Security PIN to get a UserID and a one-minute OTP.
If you do not have a smartphone app available, NIMC’s Mobile Digital ID page says you can dial *346*2*YourNIN# on a phone to receive the UserID and OTP by SMS.
Enter the OTP quickly. It expires in about one minute.
2. Log in to the portal
Go to https://myportal.nimc.gov.ng or https://dashboard.nimc.gov.ng. Log in with the UserID and OTP. Confirm the address ends with nimc.gov.ng before you enter anything.
3. Choose Premium or Standard slip
On the portal home, open Print Premium Slip or Print Standard Slip. Follow the on-screen steps. If Remita payment is required, complete it and wait for the successful payment screen before you leave the page.
4. Download and print
Download the front and rear PDF pages. Print, cut, fold and laminate if you want a pocket-size copy. NIMC notes that an improved slip with a QR code is meant to be verified with an approved NIMC app when presented.
Fees
Self-service print amounts are shown on the portal or in the app at the time you request the slip. Pay only through the official Remita flow on NIMC pages.

Separate office re-issuance (loss, damage or theft at a NIMC centre) is listed on the official fees page as N600. Modification-linked re-issuance has different fees. See nimc.gov.ng/fees and Re-Issuance of NIN Slips.
NIN enrolment itself remains free on the official fees list. NIMC warns that enrolment and your NIN are free and that fake apps collecting NINs are a scam risk.
Common problems and fixes
App asks for a phone number that no longer works
You need access to the number linked to your NIN, or you must update that number through official NIMC modification channels before self-service tools will work smoothly.
OTP expired or login failed
Generate a fresh OTP and log in immediately. For USSD, dial *346*2*YourNIN# again. Check that you typed the NIN correctly.
Cannot find NIN Slip in NINAuth
Update the app from the official store, sign out and sign in again, and confirm your identity verification finished. If it still fails, contact NIMC support through nimc.gov.ng or the support email shown in the official app listing.
Portal payment succeeded but no download
Stay on the success screen and try the download button again. Keep your Remita RRR. Do not pay a second time through an agent. Contact NIMC with the RRR if the PDF never appears.

Try self-service download first. If you need centre re-issuance for loss, damage or theft, follow the official re-issuance page and the N600 fee listed on nimc.gov.ng/fees.
Scam warning
Never share your NIN, OTP, UserID or NINAuth login with strangers.
Never install NIN or Mobile ID APKs from Telegram, WhatsApp or random download sites.
Ignore lookalike websites that are not on a nimc.gov.ng domain.
Do not pay agents who claim they can “print NIN slip online” for you outside official Remita or in-app flows.

Can I print my NIN slip without visiting a NIMC office?
Yes for self-service download/print through official digital channels, if your NIN is already issued and active. New enrolees who have not yet received a slip may still need the enrolment centre process.
Is NINAuth official?
Yes. NINAuth is published on ninauth.nimc.gov.ng and is featured on the main NIMC website. Prefer the App Store / Google Play listings linked from official NIMC pages.
What is the difference between Premium and Standard slips on the portal?
Both are self-service print options on the NIMC portal. Choose the option shown on your dashboard and pay only the amount the official page requests, if any.
Can I use a virtual NIN instead of printing a slip?
A Virtual NIN is a separate tokenised number for verification with a specific organisation. It does not replace every situation where a printed slip is requested. Use the official slip download when you need the PDF or laminated slip.
