You can retrieve a forgotten National Identification Number from your phone by dialling the official NIMC USSD code, *346#, from the phone number recorded on your NIN profile.
The service does not require mobile data or a smartphone. It normally works through Nigerian mobile networks, but you need an active SIM, sufficient regular airtime and access to the number connected to your NIMC record.
Quick answer: Dial *346# from the phone number used for your NIN enrolment or later updated on your NIMC record. Select NIN Retrieval, approve the displayed charge and copy the 11-digit number shown on the screen.
