Using NINAuth or the portal
Install only official NIMC apps linked from nimc.gov.ng store listings — not APKs from social media.
For the portal: open the Mobile ID app Security PIN for a UserID and one-minute OTP, or dial *346*2*YourNIN# if you do not have a smartphone app available.
Log in at https://myportal.nimc.gov.ng or https://dashboard.nimc.gov.ng.
Choose Print Premium Slip or Print Standard Slip. Complete any Remita payment the official page shows, wait for the success screen, then download the PDF.
Print the PDF. You can cut, fold and laminate it if you want a pocket-size copy.

Option 2: Re-issue at a NIMC centre (loss, damage or theft)
NIMC’s re-issuance page covers loss, damage, theft, and change or modification of record. Your NIN number itself is not replaced — you get a new slip for the same NIN.

On nimc.gov.ng/fees, Re-Issuance of NIN Slips is listed as N600 for loss, damage or theft, and N1,000 per data field when the re-issuance follows a change or modification of record.
NIMC’s older re-issuance detail page still mentions “evidence of payment (N500)” in places. Treat nimc.gov.ng/fees and the amount Remita displays as the amounts to follow when you pay.

How to pay on Remita for centre re-issuance
NIMC’s re-issuance and fees pages describe Treasury Single Account payment through Remita:
Visit www.remita.net.
Choose Pay Billers under Bills & Purchases.
Who do you want to Pay: type National Identity Management Commission.
Name of Service/Purpose: choose the NIN slip re-issuance (or matching) service shown.
Enter your name and phone number, complete the captcha, and submit.
Note your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) on the invoice.
Pay by card, bank branch, USSD, internet banking or wallet as offered.
Print or save the payment evidence and take it to the NIMC centre with your other documents.
Someone else can pay on Remita for you, but you must still appear in person for verification. NIMC warns that another person cannot modify or collect identity services in your place without you being present.
At the NIMC centre
Confirm you are at an official NIMC enrolment centre.
Present the documents that match your case (loss, theft or damage).
Show Remita evidence of payment and keep your RRR.
Complete biometric or identity verification as directed by the enrolment officer.
Collect the re-issued slip when told it is ready. NIMC’s re-issuance page lists the timeline as immediate.
Common problems
No OTP for online reprint — your registered phone number may be lost or changed. Update the number officially before self-service login will work.
Centre rejects incomplete papers — loss and theft need both a recent police report and a court affidavit, plus photo ID and payment evidence.
Paid the wrong Remita service — check the service name before paying; keep the RRR and ask NIMC staff if you selected the wrong purpose.
Agents offer “instant replacement” outside NIMC — walk away. Official payment is through Remita to NIMC.
Scam warnings
Never share your NIN, OTP, UserID or Remita details with strangers.
Do not buy laminated “NIN cards” from roadside agents claiming NIMC endorsement.
Confirm every website ends with nimc.gov.ng before you log in or pay.
Do not enrol a second time for a lost slip — NIMC says do not enrol more than once.
