A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations of impersonation and conspiracy.
The court’s decision follows a case involving social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, who accused Blord of using his identity without authorization for commercial purposes.
According to court proceedings, Blord allegedly forged documents, including flight tickets bearing VeryDarkMan’s name, and falsely claimed to have paid him ₦500 million as a brand ambassador. The prosecution further alleged that Blord used VeryDarkMan’s image in promotional materials, including billboards and flyers, without consent.
The case has drawn public attention due to the prominence of both individuals in Nigeria’s digital and social media space.
The presiding judge ordered that Blord be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre pending further hearing. The matter was subsequently adjourned to April 27, 2026, for continuation of trial.
Legal representatives are expected to present further arguments as the court examines the allegations and supporting evidence in the coming sessions.
