Excitement is building at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry as members prepare to welcome Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, following her anticipated release on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Her husband, Angel Asiamah, has coordinated arrangements for a modest reception at the church. A special T-shirt bearing the inscription “PRAY EVERY DAY” has been unveiled ahead of the event. The church premises have also undergone repainting and minor renovations to accommodate the expected turnout.

During Sunday service, Pastor Asiamah confirmed that seating and logistical arrangements had been finalised. He urged congregants to maintain decorum, stressing that the occasion would serve not only as a homecoming but also as a reaffirmation of commitment to the ministry.

Agradaa’s release follows a High Court ruling that significantly reduced her original 15-year prison sentence to one year. She had initially been convicted of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences after allegedly operating a money-doubling scheme during an all-night service at her Weija-based church in Accra.

Prosecutors told the court that she promised financial returns to worshippers in exchange for cash offerings. She was originally sentenced on July 3, 2025.

Her legal team filed an appeal four days later, arguing that the trial judge had improperly shifted the burden of proof onto the accused despite what they described as insufficient evidence from the prosecution.

On February 5, 2026, the High Court in Amasaman, presided over by Justice Solomon Oppong-Twumasi, reduced the sentence to one year and directed her to refund GH¢1,000 to the complainants. The custodial term was backdated to July 2025, making her eligible for release in early March 2026.

Her anticipated return has drawn strong reactions from supporters, with worshippers expressing gratitude and anticipation ahead of her arrival.
