Senegalese International Fall Ngagne Faces Six-Month Injury Layoff After Amagaju FC Match Feb 25, 2025 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp Copy link Fall Ngagne of Rayon Sports could be out for six months after suffering a knee injury in the match against Amagaju FC. Fall Ngagne, a forward for Rayon Sports, could be out of action for six months due to a serious injury he sustained in a match against Amagaju FC. On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Rayon Sports played Amagaju FC in Huye, ending the match with a 1-1 draw. However, the team not only lost points but also their star striker, Fall Ngagne, who had to be taken off the field before the match ended due to a severe injury. This is not the first injury for the Senegalese forward, who also suffered a previous injury during a Peace Cup match against Rutsiro FC in the 68th minute. Sources within Rayon Sports confirm that Ngagne injured his knee and will undergo surgery on the cruciate ligaments. This means he could be out for up to six months, possibly missing the rest of the 2024/25 season. Ngagne was one of the team's most important players, leading the scoring chart with 13 goals in the league. His absence will be a big blow to the team’s chances for the rest of the season. • South Africa's Intenet Service Provider Association unveils its new board, welcomes fresh members | Xtrafrica Media Group https://static.wixstatic.com/media/436149_a7a2e47297204e22b1cd9981506c82a9~mv2.webp

South Africa's Intenet Service Provider Association unveils its new board, welcomes fresh members Dec 11, 2024 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp Copy link South Africa's ISPA unveils its new board South Africa’s Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has announced its new board members, who will guide the organization for the next three years. Two new members, Ntokozo Mbonani and Doreen Mokoena, are joining the board for the first time. “ISPA looks forward to new ideas and fresh perspectives over the coming term,” the association stated. The board now has one less member, with ISPA thanking outgoing members Cheryl Dinkelmann, Gideon le Grange, and André van der Walt for their contributions. “Their tenure as ISPA board members leaves the Internet in South Africa stronger,” ISPA said. Several existing board members, including Dave Gale, Jerry Maleka, and Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, have been reelected. Sasha Booth-Beharilal will continue as chairperson, with Enzio von Diest serving as deputy chairperson. “The new Board members are elected to serve a three-year term. Board members are eligible to serve for a maximum of six consecutive years, and then become ineligible for further reappointment until one year has passed,” ISPA explained. ISPA highlighted its respected role in advising South African policymakers on Information and Communications Technology (ICT). It also welcomed the new board members and expressed confidence in their ability to advance the Internet in South Africa. Looking ahead, ISPA aims to apply lessons from the fixed data market to the mobile data market, which most South Africans use for Internet access. The board plans to expand its membership to include more mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), which ISPA views as a type of Internet Service Provider. ISPA emphasized its position as one of South Africa’s largest Internet-related organizations, representing over 230 members. It is also the only Internet-focused representative body officially recognized by the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies. “ISPA advocates for an open, free, and competitive Internet landscape and represents a diverse group of over 230 Internet organisations.” DR.Congo Congo Prepares to Host First-Ever National AI Symposium in Kinshasa DR.Congo Joseph Kabila Accused of High Treason as Congo Seizes Assets and Shuts Down His Party DR.Congo Rwanda’s Puppet Returns: Kabila Enters Goma After Trump’s Warning to Kagame DR.Congo US to Rwanda: Withdraw from Congo, Mining Talks with DRC Moving Forward Top News More News US Visa Now ‘Nearly Impossible’ for Rwandans in 2025, Political Fears and Kagame’s Rule Blamed .
