According to Daily Post, Nigerian singer Davido has spoken publicly about how losing at the 2026 Grammy Awards affected him emotionally. Davido reacts to Grammy loss -

The Grammy-nominated artiste, born David Adeleke, shared on Instagram that the loss left him discouraged and initially unwilling to attend the ceremony’s after-party.


Davido revealed that his wife, Chioma, played a key role in helping him regain confidence after the disappointment. He praised her for offering reassurance and encouragement, describing her as his “ride or die.”


In his post, the singer recalled Chioma advising him to remain humble in victory and gracious in defeat, words he said motivated him to step out despite the setback.


Chioma later responded with her own message, expressing confidence in Davido and reaffirming her support.

Davido was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category but lost to South African singer Tyla at the 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony held on Sunday.
