  • Beeztrap KOTM Biography: Real Name, Songs, Awards and Rise

Read Beeztrap KOTM’s verified biography: real name, Ghanaian roots, breakthrough songs, awards, POWER album and latest 2026 music. Beeztrap KOTM is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter whose highlife melodies, spiritual writing and Kumasi-rooted drill delivery have made him one of Asakaa’s adaptable voices. Publicly known as Edwin Eshun, he broke through with “Distance Relationship” and widened his audience through “Fly Girl,” “YESU,” “Amen” and “Bad Feeling.” His rise moved from local radio to winning 3Music Next Rated Act, the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Award for Best New Artiste and a 2026 TGMA Collaboration of the Year award for “Shoulder.” His debut studio album, POWER , turned that momentum into a 16-track statement about range. Who is Beeztrap KOTM? Beeztrap KOTM, publicly known as Edwin Eshun, is a Ghanaian rapper and singer shaped by Kumasi’s Asakaa movement. He broke through with “Distance Relationship,” expanded through “Fly Girl,” won the 2025 TGMA Best New Artiste award and released his debut album, POWER , the same year. “Distance Relationship” and the Breakthrough That Changed the Scale Beeztrap KOTM’s first major turning point came through “Distance Relationship.” In a detailed 2023 interview with The Upper Entertainment , he explained that producer Stitches played a rough version for Reggie, who liked it and recorded a verse. O’Kenneth and Jay Bahd joined as the song moved through the shared creative network around Kumasi’s drill scene. He recalled roughly 40,000 Audiomack streams on the first day and described shaking at the numbers. The response converted years of covers, free MP3 releases and freestyles into a recognisable audience. Follow-ups “By Grace” and “Cinderella” showed that the moment could become a career. “Fly Girl” supplied the next expansion in 2024. The original with Oseikrom Sikanii highlighted Beeztrap’s melodic instinct, while the Gyakie remix softened the edges without removing the Kumasi character. Alongside “YESU,” “Bad Feeling” and Sarkodie’s “Amen,” it positioned him for awards attention beyond one drill lane. Formative Life and Creative Roots Between Cape Coast and Kumasi Beeztrap identifies his family origin with Cape Coast, but his public career was formed in Kumasi. The city matters not simply as a birthplace label; it supplied the collaborators, studios, street language and audience that made his early sound possible. XTRAfrica’s Ghana music collection places that development inside a wider national catalogue spanning highlife, hiplife, drill, gospel and Afrobeats. He told The Upper Entertainment that his mother and sister sang in a church choir, an uncle kept a home studio and highlife played at his mother’s bar. He rapped R2Bees and Sarkodie songs with friends before writing his own verses; schoolmates’ reaction gave him confidence to record. After someone saw a cover through a friend’s post, Kofi Friday financed “Abrabɔ Yɛ Hard” and helped it reach radio in 2018. Hearing himself on air mattered because Beeztrap was still distributing free MP3s without streaming access. His birth date and formal education are not established by a strong opened first-party or institutional source, so this biography does not manufacture an age or school history. Direct interviews instead establish that family music, church rhythm, highlife memory and early peer response shaped his decision to continue. ADVERTISEMENT Highlife Melodies, Spiritual Writing and Asakaa Identity Beeztrap’s artistic identity is built on contrast. His voice can sit inside forceful trap drums, but he often bends the delivery toward melody, reflection or prayer. The Upper interview records his own description of two recognised styles: a highlife-and-drill blend and a more spiritual mode. XTRAfrica’s hip-hop collection provides the broader rap context, while its Afrobeats page reflects the pop field he also enters. The spiritual current is biographical. Beeztrap told iMullar that he grew up playing drums in church. His mother’s choir background and the ideas in “YESU,” “By Grace” and Different Type of Gangster connect belief to sound and subject. In the Upper interview, he explained what he wanted listeners to feel: “I want fans to think about spirituality when they hear my music.” That ambition separates him from readings of Asakaa as only dark production and hard performance. A major NATIVE feature on Asakaa drill traced how Kumasi artists localised drill through Twi, Saka slang, everyday struggle and communal identity. Beeztrap belongs to that environment, but his highlife phrasing, romance and explicit faith create his own branch of it. From Different Type of Gangster to the POWER Album The seven-track Different Type of Gangster EP arrived in 2023 as an early map of Beeztrap’s interests: struggle, love, brotherhood, enjoyment and spiritual sanity. It also clarified why the artist resisted a narrow definition. Drill provided the frame, but hiplife, highlife, Azonto-era movement and Afrobeat ideas kept entering the songs. His 2024 run widened the catalogue. 3Music documented “YESU” as his sixth release of that year, following the two-track HOPE PACK . Collaborations also became a major growth channel: Tulenkey’s “Bad Feeling,” Sarkodie’s “Amen,” Camidoh’s “NLF” remix and Stonebwoy’s “Boa Me” remix placed him beside artists with different audiences. In 2025, “Bang Bang Bang,” “Adult Tempo 128” and the Efya collaboration “Save the Date” prepared the ground for a full-length debut. XTRAfrica’s “Save the Date” page captures the romantic, Afro-soul side of his writing an important counterweight to the harder records. POWER arrived on 8 August 2025. Apple Music lists 16 tracks and credits Way Up Gang/Tieme Music, with collaborations spanning Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. In a release interview with iMullar , Beeztrap presented the album as proof of creativity, writing and versatility. “I fit in anyway. I can never be limited. I love Hip-Hop.” The album refuses to choose between rapper, singer, church-rooted writer and romantic performer. Its argument is that Beeztrap’s range is the point. Awards, Collaborations and Career Achievements Industry recognition arrived in stages. The 2024 3Music Awards winners named him Next Rated Act. Before the 2025 TGMAs, he told MyJoyOnline that he expected to win Best New Artiste: “If anyone else is going to win, unless by chance. Unless Beeztrap was not nominated.” The confidence was rewarded. The official Ghana Music Awards winners archive confirms Beeztrap as the 2025 Best New Artiste, while Tulenkey’s “Bad Feeling” won Best Hiplife Song. A year later, “Shoulder” by Medikal with Shatta Wale and Beeztrap won 2026 Collaboration of the Year and Most Popular Song; Beeztrap is individually listed among the collaboration winners. Selected verified achievements include: Winning Next Rated Act at the 2024 3Music Awards. Winning Best New Artiste at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Contributing to 2025 Best Hiplife Song winner “Bad Feeling.” Winning 2026 TGMA Collaboration of the Year for “Shoulder.” Releasing the 16-track debut studio album POWER in August 2025. Reaching 313,541 Spotify monthly listeners in the latest August 2026 dated snapshot. Beeztrap KOTM Career Timeline Year Event Significance 2018 Released “Abrabɔ Yɛ Hard” and received radio play Turned school-era covers and freestyles into a public recording career. 2022 Released “Distance Relationship” with Asakaa collaborators Produced his first major streaming response and breakthrough audience. 2023 Released Different Type of Gangster Defined his spiritual, highlife-meets-drill identity across a full project. 2024 “Fly Girl” expanded; won 3Music Next Rated Act Moved his name from Kumasi momentum into broader Ghanaian recognition. 2025 Won TGMA Best New Artiste and released POWER Converted breakthrough attention into major awards and a debut album. 2026 “Shoulder” won TGMA Collaboration of the Year; released “GANGSTA” Confirmed his value as a collaborator while sustaining his solo catalogue. ADVERTISEMENT Faith, Confidence and the Personal Journey Behind the Music Beeztrap’s direct interviews reveal more about his personal life through values than through gossip. Faith is central. He credits church formation and belief in God for his progress, while the name “KOTM” King of the Moment expresses the confidence required to compete in a crowded Ghanaian music industry. That confidence is balanced by collaboration. “Distance Relationship” grew as artists around Reggie heard it and added verses. POWER brought together Sarkodie, Gyakie, Kweku Smoke, Himra and Olivetheboy. XTRAfrica’s Sarkodie songs page leads to a senior Ghanaian artist who first influenced Beeztrap and later recorded with him. Reliable opened sources do not establish a current partner, children, height or net worth. Those claims are therefore not used to manufacture intimacy. The documented personal story is strong enough: family music, church drumming, early encouragement, belief and a willingness to let collaboration increase the scale of an individual voice. Emerging Impact on Ghana’s New Rap Generation Beeztrap’s emerging impact shows how Asakaa can stretch without losing Kumasi. Drill percussion, highlife memory, gospel language and romance share his catalogue. He can appear beside Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, sing with Efya and Gyakie, then return to Reggie and O’Kenneth. His XTRAfrica songs page currently gathers the catalogue under its verified artist route. Beyond individual songs, the TGMA progression is revealing: Best New Artiste in 2025, then a winning national collaboration in 2026. It shows a movement from promising newcomer to dependable contributor on records with established stars. The next test is album development. POWER proved range; future projects will show whether he can shape that range into an even tighter long-form identity. For an artist who insists he cannot be limited, coherence not versatility is now the more interesting challenge. 2026 Releases and Verified Future Direction Beeztrap remained active after POWER . “LABADI” with Reggie and O’Kenneth arrived in January 2026, followed by “Peace Of Mind” with Sarkodie and “EXPENSIVE SILENCE.” His official Audiomack profile lists “GANGSTA” as an August 6 release produced by Tubhani Muzik, making it the newest verified entry in this biography. No new album or release date has been credibly announced as of 11 August 2026. The visible direction is a continuing solo catalogue, selective collaborations and a balance between hard rap, melody and spiritual reflection as he turns breakthrough energy into a durable career. • Turkey is mediating talks between Somalia and Ethiopia over a controversial port deal Ethiopia signed with Somaliland earlier this year, according to officials. The negotiations aim to mend the strained diplomatic ties between Somalia and Ethiopia, which deteriorated after Ethiopia agreed to lease 20 km of coastline from Somaliland in exchange for recognizing its independence. Mogadishu deemed the agreement illegal, expelled the Ethiopian ambassador, and threatened to expel thousands of Ethiopian troops stationed in Somalia fighting Islamist insurgents. Somali, Turkish, and Ethiopian government representatives did not respond to requests for comment. Somaliland, which declared independence in 1991 but lacks international recognition, said it was not part of the talks. Officials indicated that expectations for a resolution were low, with one noting Somalia's continued refusal to engage until Ethiopia withdraws the agreement. Turkey has been a close ally of Somalia since President Erdogan's visit in 2011, providing security training, development assistance, and signing a defence pact in February to support Somalia's maritime security. Turkey's extensive aid includes building schools, hospitals, infrastructure, and offering scholarships to Somalis, securing a strategic foothold in Africa and along key global shipping routes. • Understand Zulu Women Culture: Clothing, Food, Rituals and Traditions

Explore Zulu woman culture, clothing, food, and sacred rituals from a Tanzanian researcher’s deep study into South Africa’s largest nation As a Tanzanian travel researcher passionate about African traditions, I spent weeks reading historical journals and cultural studies about the Zulu people of South Africa. Today, I share with you the beauty, power, and complexities of Zulu women's culture, their clothing, food, rituals, and how girls are raised in this proud nation. (References: Mbatha & Cebekhulu (2022), University of Zululand; Hamilton (Virgin Testing), University of Natal; journals.co.za ) Who are the Zulu girls, and where are they from? Zulu girls are born in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, home to the largest ethnic group in the country. Historically, AmaZulu began as a small clan under Inkosi Malandela’s son Zulu, growing into a powerful nation under King Shaka Zulu, who united many clans through military reforms and political strategy (Mbatha & Cebekhulu, 2022). How are Zulu girls raised? In my research, I found that Zulu girls are raised with strong teachings of respect (inhlonipho), humility, and obedience. From early childhood, girls learn domestic chores like fetching water, cooking, cleaning huts, and beadwork. Older girls, known as amaquikiza, mentor younger ones in social conduct, love, and discipline (Hamilton, Virgin Testing). What is the Zulu tradition for girls? One of the most prominent traditions is virginity testing (ukuhlolwa kwezintombi). Thousands of girls gather, dressed in colorful bead skirts, singing traditional songs that celebrate purity and dignity. Older women conduct brief visual inspections to confirm virginity, after which girls receive certificates and forehead markings to honor them. This practice is deeply rooted but controversial in modern times for privacy concerns (Hamilton, University of Natal). What is the Zulu tradition for virgin girls? Virgin girls are celebrated, especially during the Umkhosi Womhlanga (Reed Dance) . This annual ceremony brings thousands of maidens to offer reeds to the king, pledging purity and honoring Nomkhubulwane, the Zulu goddess of fertility, rain, and agriculture (Hamilton). This annual ceremony brings thousands of maidens to offer reeds to the king, pledging purity and honoring Nomkhubulwane, the Zulu goddess of fertility, rain, and agriculture (Hamilton). Zulu culture clothing Zulu girls wear tiny bead skirts (izigege), colourful bead necklaces (imigexo), and headbands (iziphandla) during rituals. Married women cover themselves more, wearing isicholo, the iconic large hat, and wrapped clothes that show dignity and status (Mbatha & Cebekhulu, 2022). Zulu culture food Traditional Zulu food includes uphuthu (stiff maize porridge), amasi (sour milk), beans, pumpkin, wild greens, and meat stews. Meals are often cooked in clay pots and shared communally during rituals to honor ancestors (Mbatha & Cebekhulu, 2022). ADVERTISEMENT Essay about Zulu culture If asked to summarise Zulu culture in an essay, I would write: Zulu culture is rooted in unity, respect for ancestors, and powerful traditions. King Shaka’s leadership built a strong nation, while rituals like virginity testing, reed dances, and coming-of-age ceremonies continue to shape social morals. Their food, beadwork, and songs carry deep meanings of identity and belonging. What ritual activities do Zulus practice? Umkhosi Womhlanga (Reed Dance) Umemulo (coming of age for girls) Virginity testing ceremonies Umkhosi Wokweshwama (First Fruits) Lobola (bride wealth negotiations) (Mbatha & Cebekhulu, 2022; Hamilton) Zulu religion Traditionally, Zulus believe in Nkulunkulu (the creator God) and Amadlozi (ancestral spirits). Nomkhubulwane is honored as the goddess of fertility, rain, and crops. Christianity also blends into many Zulu families today, but ancestral respect remains central (Mbatha & Cebekhulu, 2022). What is the Zulu initiation for girls? Umemulo is the coming-of-age ceremony where girls are blessed with a cow, beads, and dance rituals to celebrate maturity and readiness for marriage. • Harare, Zimbabwe – In a somber announcement, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared the current drought in Zimbabwe, spurred by the El Niño weather phenomenon, a national disaster. The government is now appealing for over $2 billion in humanitarian aid to combat the severe food shortages affecting millions. This declaration comes on the heels of similar distress calls from neighboring nations like Zambia and Malawi, spotlighting the wider humanitarian crisis unfolding across Southern Africa due to erratic weather patterns. • DRC Vows to Enforce UN Law, Challenges Rwanda’s Occupation

#EXPLAINED: The DRC returns to the UN Security Council to push for accountability, enforce resolutions, and end Rwanda’s illegal occupation. Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner says the DRC will push for real enforcement of international law and an end to the “credibility gap” between resolutions and reality, starting with Rwanda’s illegal occupation. After a 30-year absence, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has officially reclaimed its seat as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (2026–2027). This return comes at a pivotal moment, as eastern Congo faces ongoing military aggression and regional destabilization. Speaking on TV5MONDE, Congolese Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner laid out Kinshasa’s vision for this mandate, a bold call for credible, action-oriented multilateralism that lives up to the founding principles of the United Nations Charter. Referring to UN Resolution 2760 (2023) and Resolution 2773 (2025), both of which explicitly name Rwanda as a destabilizing actor and condemn the illegal occupation of Congolese territory, she denounced the gap between Security Council declarations and real-world enforcement. We now have, in the DRC case, a situation where the Council takes firm decisions, yet fails to enforce them. That is the credibility gap we want to address.” Wagner emphasized that Congo’s agenda will not only focus on its own security but will aim to strengthen multilateralism for other conflicts where UN resolutions remain unimplemented. Enter your eFiling username and password, unless passwordless login is active. Complete the requested security authentication. Open the required service from the app dashboard. Some eFiling services may still be easier to complete through the full website. ADVERTISEMENT How to reset a forgotten eFiling password Reset the password online Open the official eFiling page . Select Forgot Password? Enter your username and the identity information requested. Choose the available security channel. Enter the OTP sent by SARS. Create and confirm a new password. SARS requires an eFiling password to: Contain at least eight characters Include an uppercase letter Include a lowercase letter Include a number Include a special character Exclude personal information such as your name, surname, email address or username Avoid repetitive or sequential characters such as aaaaa or 12345 Reset the password through the MobiApp Open the app and select Forgot Password . Enter the username, select the preferred OTP channel, enter the code and create a new password. What if you forgot your username and password? Recover the username first: Select Forgot Username? on the eFiling login page. Complete the requested personal information. Follow the authentication prompts. Once the username is recovered, reset the password. SARS says the Contact Centre can also assist taxpayers with recovering eFiling login details after identity verification. What to do if the SARS OTP is not arriving First check the following: The masked cellphone number or email address shown belongs to you. Your phone has network coverage and can receive SMS messages. The email has not been placed in the spam or junk folder. You are using the newest OTP rather than an earlier code. You have not exceeded the permitted resend attempts. If the contact details are outdated, registered South African eFilers can use Update Contact Details on the login page without signing in. The process uses facial biometric authentication. How to update security contacts before login Open the official eFiling login page. Select Update Contact Details . Enter your first name, surname and South African ID number. Read the biometric notice and continue. Follow the facial-verification instructions using a camera-enabled device. Enter the new cellphone number and email address. Choose the preferred contact method and submit. Enter the OTP delivered to the new contact channel. This pre-login option is available only to registered eFilers who are South African citizens and pass biometric verification. Non-South African taxpayers, or users who fail the biometric check, should call SARS or book an appointment. What if the MobiApp approval does not appear? If app-based two-factor authentication is active but no push notification arrives: Check that the phone has internet access and notifications are enabled. Return to the eFiling authentication screen and select Use OTP , if available. After logging in, remove the old device from the profile. Reinstall or update the SARS MobiApp if necessary. Enrol the device again. SARS warns that uninstalling the MobiApp or clearing its data can break the enrolled-device connection. One device can be enrolled on only one eFiling profile at a time. How passwordless login works Passwordless login allows an enrolled primary mobile device to approve a website login without the user typing a password. To use it, the SARS MobiApp must be installed and the device must be enrolled through My Profile → Profile and Preference Setup . SARS states that passwordless login and standard two-factor authentication cannot both be switched on simultaneously. Do not approve an unexpected login request. If you receive one when you are not signing in, reject it and review the profile's security. ADVERTISEMENT First-time eFiling login For a newly registered user, SARS's official guide gives the following sequence: Enter the username and select Next . Enter the password and select Login . Enter the OTP and submit it. Read and accept the eFiling terms and conditions. Review the return types SARS displays. Link the return types you need and submit the selections. The eFiling dashboard should then open. A tax type must be linked to the profile before you can use its full services. If SARS could not complete your registration immediately, the profile may instead show a registration work page requesting supporting documents. Upload every requested document and select Submit . SARS's guide says users are given 21 business days to provide registration documents when this process applies. What if your tax type belongs to a tax practitioner? When a tax number is already controlled through another eFiling profile, such as a tax practitioner's portfolio, SARS may offer options including: View-only shared access Full shared access Removal of the tax practitioner's access Removal of your access Deactivation of the tax type Read each option carefully. Removing access can affect who is able to submit returns or respond to SARS. A practitioner should have proper authority to act for you. Common eFiling login problems and fixes “Incorrect username or password” Check typing, capital letters and saved browser credentials. If uncertain, use the official recovery options rather than repeatedly guessing. The login page keeps reloading or displays incorrectly SARS says modern versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari support its HTML5 forms. Try updating the browser, closing duplicate eFiling tabs and clearing the browser cache and cookies. Then reopen the official login page manually. You selected a primary login in the past Users who once had several eFiling logins may now have one primary login. SARS says linked portfolios remain accessible through that primary account. If another old username produces an error, recover or use the selected primary login. The account is linked to an old phone or email Use the pre-login Update Contact Details option if eligible. Otherwise, contact SARS and complete the required identity verification. Your tax profile is missing after login Check the selected portfolio and linked tax types. The account may be linked to another portfolio or tax practitioner. Do not create repeated profiles without understanding where the tax number is registered. What to do if you suspect your eFiling account was hacked Treat unexpected changes to contact details, bank information, returns or refund instructions as urgent. Do not continue through any link received by email or SMS. Use the official SARS portal directly and change the password if you still have access. Follow the official SARS compromised-profile reporting guidance to report the matter online or book a SARS branch appointment. Review registered details, bank information, correspondence, returns and account statements. Keep case numbers and copies of suspicious messages. SARS may require identification, proof of address and bank evidence when investigating a compromised profile. SARS eFiling scam warning SARS says it will never request your password, OTP, banking PIN or eFiling login credentials through email, SMS, social media or telephone. It also says it does not send taxpayers links to banking websites. A message claiming that you must enter banking details or pay a fee to receive a refund should be treated as suspicious. Open the SARS website yourself to check correspondence. ADVERTISEMENT TRENDING NOW How to Check if You Must Submit a SARS Tax Return . Tax and Revenue How to Book a SARS Appointment Online .
