Bebe Rexha has signaled a shift in her personal and professional outlook for 2026, sharing a reflective post on social media that outlines what she is leaving behind and what she plans to embrace moving forward.

The 36-year-old singer posted an image on Instagram on January 22 showing herself standing in front of a whiteboard divided into two columns. One side listed traits she associated with her past, including “victim,” “people pleaser,” and a reference to the 2023 concert incident in which she was struck in the face by a fan’s phone during a New York City performance. That column was crossed out.

The opposite side highlighted words describing her future direction, including “unapologetic,” “confident,” and “richer,” signaling a more assertive mindset.

Rexha also updated her Instagram bio and launched a new website inviting fans to engage with her upcoming projects. The post comes as the singer enters a new phase in her career after announcing a partnership with independent music company Empire following previous releases under Warner Records.

In a statement to Variety, Rexha said the move reflects creative independence and renewed confidence in her artistic direction.

The singer has previously spoken about the impact of the 2023 onstage assault, which resulted in stitches and a black eye, and has continued to reference the incident as part of her broader personal journey.
