Fans waiting for Tyla’s first major headlining tour finally have some good news.

After months of uncertainty following the postponement of her highly anticipated Tyla Tour, the South African singer has confirmed that the shows are still happening—just later than originally planned.

According to ELLE, Tyla recently shared an update on the delayed tour during an interview, assuring fans that the project remains a priority despite the setback.

The Grammy-winning artist revealed that she expects the tour to take place toward the end of the year. Until then, she plans to focus on creating more visual content and finding new ways to connect with fans.

Rather than rushing back onto the road, Tyla says she wants to enjoy this phase of her career and experiment with fresh ideas around her music. The singer explained that she is interested in taking a different approach to her album campaign and is eager to see how listeners continue to engage with her songs online and in real life.

The tour delay came shortly after the release of TYLA, her self-titled debut album, which arrived in March. The project introduced audiences to her blend of Afropop, Amapiano, R&B, and global pop influences, helping cement her status as one of Africa’s fastest-rising stars.

Just weeks before the North American leg of the tour was scheduled to begin, Tyla announced that she would be postponing the shows because of a worsening injury. At the time, she revealed that she had been dealing with the condition for months and had sought advice from medical specialists.

Medical professionals ultimately advised her against continuing with performances and festival appearances, warning that doing so could put her long-term health at risk.

Despite the setback, Tyla’s momentum has remained strong. Her debut album entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 24, moving 24,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The project features collaborations with major names including Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G, while also housing her global breakout hit “Water” and its remix featuring Travis Scott.

Meanwhile, fans have continued to speculate about what’s next after Tyla and Gunna were recently spotted in South Africa filming visuals for “Jump,” one of the standout tracks from the album.

For now, the focus is recovery, creativity, and building anticipation. But if Tyla’s latest update is anything to go by, her postponed tour is not a cancellation—it’s simply a matter of timing.
