YouTube has released its 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos and digital creators that captured the most attention on the platform over the past year.


According to the report, gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli emerged as standout figures across YouTube’s Nigerian audience. The announcement was issued through a statement signed by YouTube’s Head of Music, Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo.


Gaise Baba led the music category with his viral release “No Turning Back II,” featuring Lawrence Oyor. The video, published in mid-May, quickly gained national traction and amassed more than 41 million views within six months, making it Nigeria’s most-watched music video on YouTube in 2025.
