Born Victor Otim, the rising Ugandan star is known by his stage name Vyroota. He was born on June 15, 2003, in Kampala, Uganda, where his musical journey began at a young age within a community rich in Afrobeat and dancehall culture.


Musical Journey & Turning Point

Vyroota’s interest in music started during his school years, influenced by both local sounds and global Afropop trends. He began by recording covers and original freestyles on social media, gradually building a fanbase. His turning point came in 2022 when his emotionally charged track “Gwokya Nga Omuliro” went viral across TikTok and Ugandan streaming platforms, earning him national attention and industry respect.
