South African pop star Tyla continues to break barriers with her We Wanna Party Asia tour, making history as the first African artist to headline and sell out arena shows in both Thailand and the Philippines. Her Bangkok concert at the 20,000-seat Impact Challenger sold out within days, while Manila’s SM Mall of Asia Arena show (Dec 3) is fully booked.
Tyla reacted on X,
“So excited, y’all gassing meee,” as fans across Asia dubbed her a global trailblazer.
While Tokyo’s Nov 11 opening night delivered a vibrant set of hits like “Water” and “Push 2 Start,” some stops faced disruption.
Bangkok’s show was cancelled due to Thailand’s national mourning, and Hong Kong’s Nov 23 performance was postponed, sparking mixed fan reactions. Still, new dates in Singapore, India, and Indonesia are moving ahead, as reported.
Tyla’s Tokyo show earned praise for visuals, choreography, and exclusives like her new song “No.1.” A clip of the performance went viral on Instagram, where fans praised her stage presence and bold fashion. She also premiered the “Mr. Media” music video during the concert, adding buzz to an already memorable night, as News24 highlighted.
Offstage, her momentum is unstoppable. Tyla now holds two Grammy nominations and remains one of the most-streamed South African artists globally.
Her tracks returned to regional charts after the Asia tour kicked off, and Glamour UK recently named her one of 2025’s Women of the Year. Despite the turbulence, Tyla’s rise continues and the Popiano party shows no signs of slowing down.
