English actor and martial artist Scott Adkins has paid tribute to legendary American actor Chuck Norris, who has died at the age of 86.
According to reports, Norris passed away in Hawaii, United States, nine days after celebrating his 86th birthday.
In a message shared on social media, Adkins described Norris as a defining figure in martial arts cinema and a man whose character extended beyond the screen.
“A titan of martial arts action cinema has left us,” Adkins said. “A master of martial arts, a lovely man, and a devoted humanitarian.”
The British actor added that although their interaction was brief, Norris left a lasting impression on him, noting that the late icon “embodied the true spirit of martial arts.”
Adkins also expressed condolences to Norris’ family, acknowledging the inspiration he provided to generations of martial artists and film audiences worldwide.
Chuck Norris gained global recognition through a series of action films, including A Force of One (1979), The Octagon (1980), and An Eye for an Eye (1981).
Beyond his acting career, Norris held black belts in multiple disciplines such as karate, taekwondo, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Tang Soo Do. He also founded Chun Kuk Do, a martial arts system reflecting his philosophy and training.
His death marks the loss of a major figure in both martial arts and global entertainment, with tributes continuing to emerge from across the industry.
