About the NPA Recruitment Drive
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has announced a wide range of career opportunities for 2025, calling on qualified South Africans to join the fight for justice and accountability.

Minimum Requirements
While requirements differ by position, most roles require:
A relevant degree or diploma (LLB, Accounting, Forensic Science, Public Administration, or related field)
Professional registration or accreditation where applicable (e.g., IRBA, FSCA, CFE)
Demonstrated competency in working independently and ethically
Strong communication and analytical skills
A valid driverâs license (for investigative and senior roles)
Some posts, such as those within the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, may also require security clearance, lifestyle audits, or integrity vetting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Depending on the position, successful candidates may:
Lead and manage criminal investigations and prosecutions
Provide legal guidance to investigators and prosecutors
Handle financial, forensic, or data analysis to support complex cases
Prepare case dockets, charge sheets, and court documents
Supervise teams and ensure compliance with governance and ethics standards
Administrative and support roles focus on:
Managing court administration and records
Overseeing finance and HR functions
Ensuring compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)Â and Treasury Regulations
