South African rap icon Nasty C has officially returned with his boldest release to date: the "Free" album, a 25-track journey into the mind, heart, and hustle of one of Africa's most streamed hip-hop artists.

Known for his lyrical precision, genre-bending flows, and international collaborations, Nasty C (real name Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo) is now redefining what it means to be an independent African artist on a global stage.

Fresh off recent achievements including signing with Def Jam Africa, appearing on Apple Music's Africa Now Radio, and being nominated for multiple BET Hip-Hop Awards Nasty C is unleashing Free as a symbol of growth, maturity, and artistic liberation.

“With this album, I feel very free. Free to create and express myself however I want.” Nasty C

This isn't just an album; it's a personal declaration, a career milestone, and a love letter to the fans who rode with him since Bad Hair, Strings and Bling, and Zulu Man with Some Power. From introspective confessions to stadium anthems, Free is Nasty C's statement of control: no label boundaries, no creative limits. Just pure, raw, unapologetically African hip-hop.

Nasty C also reveals motivation behind his Album in his commercial youtube video

In multiple interviews, Nasty C has said about Free:

“With this album I feel very free.”

He also said:

“FREE is basically just me feeling like I’m free from external pressures. Free to create whatever I want and be whoever I want for however long I want to be that person.” Nasty C

And:

“It’s inspired by wanting to be free, but also just feeling very, very free. Free from things that had a hold on me in all aspects.”
