Hakizimana Innocent, popularly known as Master Fire, a prominent Rwandan Hip Hop artist, legally married his partner on November 27, 2025, in Ruhango District.

In an interview with IGIHE, Master Fire said he met his partner after spending 18 years in university. He noted that living without a partner can be challenging and that having someone who shares your goals brings personal growth and stability.

He added that while they have legally married, they plan to start living together after a religious ceremony. Master Fire is currently raising funds to organize this church wedding.

The 41-year-old artist first enrolled at the former University of Rwanda in Butare in 2006.

He entered the music scene in 2007 but faced repeated academic setbacks, including a two-year suspension and a stint at Iwawa due to behavioral issues.

In 2017, he joined UTAB in Gicumbi District to study renewable energy. He attempted to graduate in 2021, but outstanding debts and administrative requirements delayed his graduation. With financial support from FARG in 2022, he was able to complete his remaining courses and officially graduate in 2023.

Master Fire acknowledged that some past choices delayed his progress but said he is now focused on personal development, continuing his music career, and setting a positive example for others.
