The upcoming Doja Cat concert in Kigali has officially sold out, with organizers confirming a series of strict regulations ahead of the event at BK Arena.
According to information published by ticketing platform Ticqet, all available tickets were purchased, marking the show as fully booked. The concert is part of the Global Citizen-led Move Afrika initiative, which brings international music acts to African cities.
Event organizers have outlined detailed restrictions on media coverage and items allowed inside the venue. Professional cameras and recording equipment are prohibited, while mobile phones may be used under limited conditions. Accredited photographers will only be allowed to take photos during the first three songs and without using flash.
A number of items have also been banned from the concert. These include vuvuzelas, drones, banners linked to political, religious or commercial messages, as well as sharp objects, explosive materials and large electronic devices such as laptops and tablets. Food and beverages are not permitted, as they will be available the venue.
The concert will be held on March 17, 2026, marking Doja Cat’s first performance in Kigali. It follows previous Move Afrika events, including a 2023 show headlined by Kendrick Lamar, which attracted large audiences and contributed to local employment and skills development.
Organizers say the restrictions are aimed at ensuring safety, maintaining production quality, and delivering a controlled experience for attendees. Fans are encouraged to comply with all guidelines to avoid disruptions during the event.
