In a discussion on the show "Curiosity Made Me Ask," hosted by comedian Bae U Barbie, Brymo responded to a freestyle by Burna Boy that seemed to suggest Brymo was no longer relevant.

“Is it [the diss freestyle] not Burna Boy lyrics? But he would like to know that nothing in this world would put his name in my song. He no reach my standard,”

Brymo remarked.

Further, Brymo proclaimed himself as the premier singer on the continent, asserting,

“I’m not proud enough. I’m probably the finest vocalist on the continent. Better than anybody. I’m not thinking. I know this.”

He also pointed out that despite criticisms on social media, his talent remains undeniable.

"And yeah, even Twitter guys can’t disagree with him despite the hate. You can win an Award, but that doesn’t mean you’re the best man for that award."

This statement follows a previous incident where Burna Boy used a freestyle session to target Brymo after the latter accused Burna Boy of plagiarizing his music. Brymo had claimed that Burna Boy's tracks ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ bore similarities to his own song titled ‘Macabre,’ which is also the name of his forthcoming album.
