Rayon Sports has committed to resolving an issue with their former coach, Haringingo Francis Christian, which led to a FIFA ban on registering new players.

The club owes Coach Haringingo Francis a total of 9.5 million Rwandan Francs (Frw). This debt includes 6 million Frw for three months of unpaid salary and a 7 million Frw bonus for winning the 2023 Peace Cup, as outlined in his contract. However, under the leadership of Jean Fidèle Uwayezu, the club managed to pay 3.5 million Frw, leaving a balance of 9.5 million Frw still due.

Rayon Sports management has announced plans to settle the outstanding amount by Monday, January 27, 2025.

The club is eager to strengthen its squad after being dissatisfied with the performance of two players, Zanzibar’s Raymond Lolendi Ntaudyimara and Congolese player Ntamba Musikwabo Malick. They are expected to finalize a deal with Cameroonian player Assa Inah Innocent soon. Additionally, another player is set to join the team on Monday without undergoing a trial.
