Rwanda’s Puppet Returns: Kabila Enters Goma After Trump’s Warning to Kagame

Kabila returns to Goma from Kigali

Kabila returns to Goma via Rwanda days after the U.S. told Rwanda to withdraw troops from DRC.

Why is Kabila returning just after Massad Boulos told Rwanda to withdraw? Because Kagame knows he's losing the game, and Joseph Kabila may be his last card. But even that card is stained with blood.

Kabila didn’t arrive in Goma directly. First, he passed through Rwanda, Kigali to be exact. That says everything. He didn’t come home through Congo. He entered through the hands of Kagame. And where did he go? Goma, a city controlled by M23, the same group that once fought him, the same group linked to Rwanda.

We must ask: Is Joseph Kabila now the new face of M23? Is this a full circle or full betrayal?

Let’s not forget history. During Kabila’s 18-year reign, rebels like RCD, CNDP, and M23 operated under his nose. Yet not a single rebel leader was eliminated. Zero. But Congolese patriots like Bahuma, Mbunza Mabe, and Mamadou Ndala died. For what?

Now Kabila returns, not to honor their memory, but to sit with those who murdered them.

Boulos Made the U.S. Position Clear

Just days ago, Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa, told the world: “ Rwanda must withdraw its forces from DRC.” He exposed Kagame’s role in supporting M23 and called for real peace, not fake gestures. Trump’s team said it loud: Congo’s sovereignty must be respected, and no more games.

But what does Kabila do? He enters Goma quietly through Rwanda, as if nothing happened. No press conference. No respect for Congolese pain. Just whispers and manipulation. He is planning a speech from either Goma or Kigali. Does he even know which side he belongs to?

Kabila’s visit looks like a political ambush. Tshisekedi is being squeezed from both sides, rebels on the frontlines, and a ghost from the past playing savior. But Congolese people are not blind.

Let’s call it what it is: Kagame’s plan to revive his influence using his old puppet. The same man whose party lost power now returns when Rwanda is cornered? It’s not a coincidence. It’s a strategy.

And all this comes after Kagame’s troops faced defeat at Nyangezi. He’s desperate. The world is watching. Trump is backing peace and American investment. Tshisekedi is standing strong. Kagame has no more options, so he’s recycling the past.

From Kinshasa to Goma:

  • Why did he come through Rwanda?

  • Why now, when M23 controls Goma?

  • Why didn’t he fight M23 when they rose before?

Because he was never fighting them. It was all smoke. Today confirms it.

Even his wife, Olive Lembe, is crying about looted solar panels in Kinshasa. But we cry for something greater: our country, our soldiers, our dignity.

Joseph Kabila was never truly Congolese in spirit. Many say he was Kagame’s project from day one. From assassinating Mzee Laurent-Désiré Kabila to betraying Congo’s sovereignty, it was always about power, never the people.

Now, while U.S. officials work for peace and demand Rwanda’s exit, Kabila returns from Kigali like a thief in the night. He is not the answer. He is the problem. And this time, Congo will not be fooled.
