President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame were among thousands of people who attended John Legend’s concert in Kigali on Friday night at the BK Arena.

John Legend performed in Kigali as part of the Move Afrika concert series, a collaboration between the Global Citizen organization, which works to end poverty, and Rwanda Development Board (RDB).

Last year, a similar concert featured rapper Kendrick Lamar.

John Legend’s concert took place just hours after he arrived in Rwanda, landing at Kigali International Airport on Friday morning.

Although it was expected that Legend would perform at 8:30 PM, he started singing a bit later, around 9:00 PM.

President Paul Kagame, who attended the concert, took some time to greet the people at the BK Arena.
