Kigali City has signed a partnership with the organizers of the ‘Gen-Z Comedy’ shows, committing to support their activities.

Fally Merci, whose real name is Ndaruhutse Merci, and the main organizer of these shows, expressed excitement about this collaboration. He said,

“The most important thing is that they agreed to support us. There are many benefits we will gain, and it will also help comedians, especially those in Gen-Z Comedy.”

On the other hand, Fally Merci revealed that Kigali City only asked them to continue organizing high-quality shows. Besides entertaining comedy fans, these events will also help young talents grow in the industry.

The partnership comes as Gen-Z Comedy nears its third anniversary. It is currently the only regular stand-up comedy show in Rwanda.

Started in 2022, these events are well-known for making people laugh while providing a platform for emerging comedians. They take place twice a month and attract a large audience.
