Monrovia, In a landmark event at Monrovia City Hall, the World Bank launched the Liberia Country Development and Climate Report, a critical document that examines Liberia’s development in the face of climate change. This initiative underscores the nation's vulnerabilities and opportunities, proposing robust strategies for sustainable growth and climate resilience.

The report, resulting from a collaboration between the World Bank and Liberian stakeholders, offers a comprehensive analysis of Liberia's socio-economic landscape. It emphasizes the country's acute susceptibility to climate adversities, such as sea-level rise and extreme weather, given its extensive coastline and agricultural reliance.

Key sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, and education have seen progress, yet challenges like poverty and environmental degradation persist. The document suggests integrating climate considerations into development plans to bolster long-term sustainability.
