Gospel musician Theo Bosebabireba energized attendees at the “Inzu y’Ibitabo Award 2025” ceremony, held in Kigali on Sunday, December 7, 2025. The event marked the conclusion of the “Inzu y’Ibitabo Summit,” a program aimed at empowering writers and encouraging young people to embrace reading and writing.


Speakers included Uwizeyimana Jilly Claude, Rev. Damien Rutegeranya, and Dr. Nicodème Hakizimana, who reflected on this year’s theme, “Challenges Are Not Permanent,” a message widely recognized from Bosebabireba’s popular song.


To close the summit, Bosebabireba performed several worship songs, drawing enthusiastic response from fans who had long awaited a special appearance from the artist.


The ceremony featured three awards under the Inzu y’Ibitabo Award 2025. Dr. Rusa Bagirishya received the Best Author of the Year award, Dr. Hakizimana Nicodème was honored as Best Spiritual Growth Author, and Manifer Printing House was named Best Publishing House.


Dashim, a Radio/TV10 journalist and coordinator of the awards, said all 12 categories had been successfully concluded this year. He noted plans for structural improvements in the next edition to ensure each category receives clear distinction.


He emphasized that the awards aim to promote Rwanda’s reading culture and recognize writers and stakeholders who continue to advance knowledge and literature. The ceremony ended with a networking dinner, bringing together authors, book enthusiasts, and invited guests.
