Shakara Festival has announced its full lineup for the 2025 Detty December season, confirming a four-day programme scheduled for December 18 to 21 at Nautica Beach Resort, Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos.

The festival’s music lineup spans Afrobeats, alternative, rap and highlife, bringing together established acts and emerging artists. Performers include Blaqbonez and Show Dem Camp, alongside J’Dess and Mich Straaw. Rising Afrobeats acts Mavo, Llona, Tar1q and Morravey are also listed, while Brymo and Johnny Drille are set to represent folk-fusion sounds. Highlife band The Cavemen will feature, with diaspora-linked acts such as Oshamo and Keys The Prince also included.

A key feature of the programme is the “Shakara After Dark” late-night series. On December 20, nightlife brand Obi’s House will take over the late-night stage, with DJs including DJ Shawn and Bonamax scheduled to perform after the main shows.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, December 21, with Shakara Gospel Day, dedicated to praise and worship music. Gospel artists billed to perform include Gbenga Akinfenwa, SMJ, Yinka Alaseyori, Bidemi Olaoba, Sinach, Kingdom, Magpsalms, Ada Ehi and Gerald Bishung.

Beyond live performances, Shakara Festival will feature four activity zones: Shakara Junction, focused on culture and commerce; Shakara Series, hosting panel discussions on music and the creative economy; Shakara Games Village for gaming activities; and Shakara After Dark, the festival’s late-night entertainment platform.
