Shaffy Bello Explains Decision to Undergo Tubal Ligation

Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has disclosed that she underwent a tubal ligation procedure more than two decades ago as part of a deliberate decision to limit the size of her family.

Speaking on her YouTube platform, Shaffy Bello TV, the actress said she made the choice after determining she did not want to have many children. She explained that the decision was taken despite her former husband’s desire to expand their family.

Bello stated that she remained firm in her position, noting that she had a clear vision of the family structure she wanted.

According to her, the medical procedure was carried out through her navel, during which her fallopian tubes were tied, effectively preventing future pregnancies.

The actress described the process as straightforward and said it permanently stopped her ability to conceive. She added that she has never regretted the decision.

Bello further remarked that if she were to become pregnant after the procedure, she would consider it extraordinary, describing such a scenario as a “miracle.”

Her comments were made in the context of a broader discussion on motherhood and personal choices regarding family planning.
