Nigerian singer Habeeb “Portable” Badmus has disputed the outcome of his celebrity boxing match against Carter Efe, claiming he was unfairly denied victory.
Portable’s reaction followed his defeat by unanimous decision at the “Chaos in the Ring 4” event held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The bout, which marked Portable’s first loss in the celebrity boxing scene, saw judges rule in favour of Carter Efe after three rounds.
In a series of posts shared on Instagram, Portable alleged that the fight was not properly judged and accused organisers of failing to count his punches.
“I was robbed. Carter Efe was wrestling while I was throwing punches,” he said.
The singer further argued that several of his strikes were ignored, insisting that all contact, including blows that landed on the arms or shoulders, should have been counted.
Portable also raised concerns about the physical mismatch between the fighters, noting that Carter Efe’s height and reach gave him an advantage in the contest.
“They knew he was tall and had long hands but still put him in a boxing match with me,” he said.
In addition to disputing the result, Portable demanded financial compensation, claiming he was owed earnings from the event.
“I want my stream money amounting to about N200 million,” he said, warning organisers to settle the amount.
The fight has drawn attention within Nigeria’s growing celebrity boxing scene, with contrasting reactions from both participants—Carter Efe celebrating victory while Portable continues to challenge the decision.
