New Job Opportunity: Director – Executive Support (POEM)

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or relevant field (NQF Level 7)

✔️ Minimum 10 years’ total experience, with at least 5 years in middle management

✔️ Proven track record in providing strategic support to executives at a similar level

✔️ Strong leadership and supervisory skills, managing diverse service functions

🛠️ Required Skills

• Strategic management and administrative support expertise

• Deep knowledge of South African government legislation, policies, and procedures

• Strong budget management skills aligned with the MFMA

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities

• Ability to prepare detailed documents and briefing notes on complex issues

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level strategic and political advice to the MMC

• Lead the implementation of the Executive Mayor’s communication strategy within the MMC office

• Manage personnel performance and utilisation within the MMC support function

• Direct budget planning and control for operational efficiency

• Drive processes to support effective MMC operations

• Manage and lead projects and staff to execute the MMC’s government blueprint
