Congolese Government Spokesperson Patrick Muyaya on RFI interview, has accused Rwandan President Paul Kagame of “losing his composure” since the launch of the Washington peace process.

According to Muyaya, Kigali’s narrative is collapsing under international scrutiny.

“𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗘 — 𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚”

Muyaya pointed to Kagame’s recent public appearances, where the Rwandan president referenced his CNN interview with journalist Larry Madowo.

In that interview, Kagame had claimed he did not know whether Rwandan troops were operating inside the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Now, Muyaya says, Kagame has openly contradicted himself, and did so “with a smile,” while being applauded.

“For years, lying has been central to Rwanda’s strategy,” Muyaya stated.

“𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗡”

Reaffirming Kinshasa’s now-familiar language, Muyaya defended the use of the phrase “the father and the son” — referring to Rwanda and M23.

“We do so for good reason,” he said, citing multiple reports, including findings by the United Nations Group of Experts that document Rwanda’s support for M23.

According to Muyaya, what was once denied is now increasingly admitted.

“Today, the father has stopped disowning his diabolical lineage with the son.”

Muyaya also drew a political contrast between the two nations.

He described the DRC as a democratic country with pluralism and open debate, while characterizing Rwanda as a despotic system with no space for dissent or freedom of expression.

“In this regard,” he said, “Rwanda will always rank at the bottom of the scale.”
