SMS notification

Besides the portal, KUCCPS says applicants who provided mobile contacts may be informed of placement by SMS. Still confirm on the official portal. Use only official KUCCPS links, not random WhatsApp or SMS links.

After you see your placement

KUCCPS does not issue admission letters. The university or college where you were placed issues the admission letter, reporting dates, fees and joining instructions on its own website or systems.

If you need funding support after placement, apply through the Higher Education Funding portal at www.hef.co.ke (government loan and, where eligible, scholarship). Students placed to private universities are eligible for the government loan only under the current funding model described by KUCCPS.

Inter-institution transfer

After results are released, KUCCPS may open a window for inter-institutional transfer. Official FAQ notes: transfer processing fee is Ksh 1,000; you may transfer only once; processing can take up to 14 working days; you must meet programme minimums and cut-off points, and both institution heads must endorse. Exact opening dates are announced on the KUCCPS website and official social channels.
