American YouTube personality IShowSpeed has confirmed plans to visit Kenya as part of a continent-wide Africa tour scheduled for late 2025 and early 2026.
The content creator, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, revealed that the tour—titled Speed Does Africa—will span approximately 28 days and cover around 20 African countries. The journey is set to begin on December 29, 2025, and will be broadcast live on his YouTube and Twitch platforms.
Kenya is listed among the destinations on the tour itinerary, where Watkins is expected to take part in local experiences and fan-focused activities. While specific dates and venues for the Kenyan leg have not yet been announced, early indications suggest it will form part of a broader East African segment of the tour.
A promotional trailer shared on his social media channels also references planned stops in countries including Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, and Morocco.
The project marks one of the most ambitious long-form livestream initiatives in the creator economy, following IShowSpeed’s previous in-real-life tours across the United States and Southeast Asia. With a global following estimated in the tens of millions, his travels have consistently drawn large online audiences and generated viral moments.
IShowSpeed rose to prominence through high-energy livestreams and gaming content, particularly around titles such as NBA 2K, Fortnite, and Talking Ben. In 2024, he drew international attention after recording more than one million concurrent viewers during a livestream from Indonesia.
The announcement was first reported by TNX Africa.
