This year’s festival was held across several venues, with the Livespot Entertarium serving as the main hub. Additional events took place at Eko Hotel & Suites, EbonyLife Place, and Filmhouse Cinemas MX4D.
A major highlight was The Runway Coterie, a fashion showcase presenting collections from African designers including Nex by Necca, Dust of Africa, Korede James, David Black, and Bernard Samuel. The November 20 runway emphasized both traditional influences and contemporary design, underscoring the diversity of African fashion.
EWA2025 also featured a packed schedule of activities such as film screenings under the Content Festival, a gaming hub, comedy performances, music sets, industry panels, entrepreneurship exhibitions, and an AI and tech expo. The programming reflected the festival’s focus on six key sectors: Music, Film & TV, Fashion, AI & Tech, Live Production, and Entrepreneurship.
The closing night, hosted under the Livespot X Festival, combined musical performances with digital art installations and discussions on the future of the continent’s creative industries.
With its cross-sector blend of culture, innovation, and collaboration, EWA2025 further strengthened Lagos’s reputation as a leading center for Africa’s creative economy.
