BUTEMBO — September 8, 2026 — U.S.-listed Copper Intelligence Inc. has released new drilling results from its Butembo Copper Project in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, reporting copper mineralisation in all 13 principal diamond drill holes completed to date.

The company has also completed a deeper extension hole and says mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth. Laboratory results from hole BCDD009 are still being processed.

The September 8 announcement expands on an August update that focused mainly on the project's first six holes. The latest release adds results from later holes, including BCDD010, BCDD011, BCDD012 and BCDD013.

  • 11 metres grading 2.75% copper from 17.9 metres in BCDD013.

The strongest grade reported so far remains the BCDD001 intersection of 7.55 metres grading 5.39% copper from surface.

Hole BCDD012 intersected two mineralised zones, including 9 metres grading 1.17% copper from a depth of 14 metres. The deep extension hole, BCWDD001B, returned 2 metres grading 0.97% copper from 113.65 metres, according to the company.

Copper Intelligence says the results indicate that copper occurs across a wider schist-hosted mineralised system. Future drilling will test extensions along strike and at depth, search for higher-grade zones and examine additional regional targets.

Company targets first compliant resource estimate

Copper Intelligence said it plans to advance Butembo toward its first mineral-resource estimate prepared under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's S-K 1300 mining-disclosure standards.

That estimate has not yet been completed. The latest drill results do not establish the total size or economic value of the deposit, and the company has not announced a mine-development decision.

Butembo is notable because it lies in eastern DRC, outside the country's established copper-producing centre in Lualaba and Haut-Katanga. If continued exploration eventually supports a viable project, it could broaden industrial copper investment into North Kivu and create future demand for drilling, logistics, construction, power and mining services.

Those prospects remain dependent on further drilling, independent technical assessment, financing, permits and development studies. Read the company's August 17 Butembo drilling update

Copper Intelligence trades in the United States under the ticker CUAI and describes Butembo as its flagship exploration project in the DRC.
