Nigerian singer Ifeanyi Charles Bosnah, popularly known as Ceeza Milli, has said he played a role in discovering Ayra Starr at an early stage of her life and music career.
The singer made the claim during a recent interview on Yanga FM, where he spoke about his first encounter with Ayra Starr, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe. According to him, they met while she was still a student, through a personal connection involving someone he was dating at the time.
Ceeza Milli stated that his involvement went beyond a casual introduction, alleging that Ayra Starr stayed with him for a period. He said this allowed him to observe her artistic growth closely and support her development during her formative years.
He maintained that his contribution to her early journey should be acknowledged, adding that he had an influence on her path before her rise to mainstream recognition.
Ayra Starr has previously shared a different account of how her professional career began. In past interviews, she said Don Jazzy, founder of Mavin Records, contacted her in December 2019 after discovering her music on Instagram.
She later gained widespread attention in January 2021 with the release of her self-titled debut extended play under Mavin Records, which marked her official entry into the Nigerian music scene.
