Nigerian Grammy Award-winning musician Burna Boy has spent the past five years building one of Africa’s most valuable celebrity car collections, with an estimated value approaching ₦19 billion. The Afro-fusion star is widely recognized for his interest in exotic automobiles, treating car ownership as an extension of his identity and artistic expression.

For Burna Boy, vehicles serve not only as a mode of transportation but also as symbols of style, success, and personal taste. His garage includes a selection of rare hypercars, luxury SUVs, and customized models sourced from across Europe, the United States, and other parts of the world.

According to a car detailer who has worked on several of the artist’s vehicles and requested anonymity, Burna Boy demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring his cars meet precise standards. The detailer said the musician has spent billions of naira on custom modifications and has flown specialists abroad to acquire specific components. “Burna is very particular about what he wants. He doesn’t mind spending billions to get it right,” the expert stated.

The centrepiece of the collection is the McLaren Senna Carbon Fibre Edition, one of only 15 units produced globally. The vehicle cost approximately $2 million before import charges, totaling around ₦3.2 billion in Nigeria. The hypercar, designed as a road-legal track vehicle, reflects the exclusivity that defines Burna Boy’s automotive choices.

In December 2024, he added the Ferrari Purosangue—Ferrari’s first SUV—to his fleet. While the international price is around $500,000, import fees increased the final cost to roughly ₦2.1 billion.

Burna Boy owns at least five different Ferrari models, underscoring his preference for the brand.

His fleet also includes several other high-performance and exotic vehicles, each selected for its rarity, design, and performance profile. Burna Boy’s attention to detail and willingness to invest heavily in customization have contributed to the reputation of his collection as one of the most sophisticated among African entertainers.

As of November 2025, Burna Boy holds the distinction of owning the most expensive car collection of any Nigerian musician. His garage serves as a reflection of both his global success and his longstanding dedication to luxury automotive craftsmanship.
