Ayra Starr Opens Up About Secret ‘Unhealthy Situationship’

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has spoken publicly about a past relationship she described as a secret and unhealthy “situationship.”

The “Rush” hitmaker made the revelation during an appearance on the Way Up With Angela Yee show, where she discussed aspects of her personal life and relationships.

According to the singer, the relationship was kept private and known only to the two people involved. She said her friends repeatedly advised her to end it, but she continued the relationship because of the emotional connection they shared.

“It was a secret, unhealthy situationship, no one knew except us. My friends kept telling me to end it, but I loved him and kept going back because we had a real friendship,” Ayra Starr said.

The singer explained that although the bond between them felt genuine, the relationship appeared to lack direction. Over time, she began questioning where it was heading.

“It wasn’t going anywhere, so I started asking myself: where do we go from here? I wanted it private, but at the same time I wanted him to fight for me,” she added.

Ayra Starr, who generally keeps her personal life out of the public eye, rarely discusses her romantic relationships, making the comments a rare glimpse into her private experiences.
