Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has opened up about her personal beliefs, saying she is striving to live a life modeled after Jesus Christ while identifying as spiritual rather than strictly religious.


The artist, born Sarah Aderibigbe, made the remarks during a recent livestream conversation with TikTok personality Jarvis, where she discussed her relationship with faith and spirituality.


According to Ayra Starr, her connection with God is rooted in personal faith rather than conventional religious practices.


“I am trying to be as perfect as Jesus,” she said, explaining that her relationship with God and the Holy Spirit goes beyond church attendance.


She added that her current approach to spirituality works for her at this stage, although she acknowledged that her perspective may change over time.


In the same conversation, the singer also revealed plans to expand her career into acting. She disclosed that she began acting in 2025 and is set to release her debut film later in 2026.


Ayra Starr, who has gained international recognition through her music, continues to explore new creative avenues while sharing aspects of her personal journey with fans.
