According to a Daily Post report, Nigerian singer Asake has further extended his lead as the artist with the most entries in the history of Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

The milestone was reached after Asake recorded his 60th entry on the chart, driven by his collaborative single with Wizkid, “Jogodo,” which climbed to a peak position of number four this week. The achievement strengthens his standing as one of the most commercially consistent Afrobeats artists on the U.S. charts.

Elsewhere on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart, South African singer Tyla maintained her strong run as her song “Channel” held onto the number one spot. Tyla was recently named the Top Afrobeats Artist of 2025, continuing a year marked by sustained chart success. Her earlier hit “Water” previously set a benchmark on the chart after spending 55 weeks at number one.

In related chart news, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy secured his first-ever top 20 placement on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. His feature on Gunna’s “WGFT” climbed to a new peak of number 16 following the release of a remix featuring Chris Brown.

With the latest entry, Burna Boy has now become the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years, spanning from 2021 through 2025.
