According to The Sun Nigeria, Afro Nation has announced Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake as the headline performers for its 2026 festival in Portugal, confirming the trio as the main acts for the global Afrobeats event.

Festival organisers revealed the full lineup on social media platform X, describing the announcement as the third phase of the rollout and highlighting a mix of Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and amapiano performers expected to shape the summer programme.

The three-day event is scheduled to run from July 3 to July 5, 2026, at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal. Burna Boy is set to open the festival on July 3, sharing the stage with South African singer Tyla. Asake will headline the second day on July 4, while Wizkid is slated to close the festival on July 5.

Organisers also confirmed that American R&B singer Kehlani and rapper Gunna will appear as special guests. Additional Nigerian acts on the bill include Olamide, Young Jonn, Darkoo, Wande Coal and Mavo.

Early access ticket sales are expected to begin on February 5. Afro Nation, an annual celebration of African music and culture, has grown into one of the world’s largest Afrobeats festivals. The 2026 edition is anticipated to build on previous years, which featured artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Tems and Qing Madi.
