Nigerian singers Adekunle Gold and Simi have welcomed twins, the couple confirmed via social media on Wednesday.

Nigerian music stars Adekunle Gold and Simi have welcomed a set of twins.

Adekunle Gold announced the birth in a Snapchat post shared on Wednesday, stating that he had prayed for another child and was blessed with two. The singer did not disclose the gender of the newborns.


The announcement quickly drew congratulatory messages from fellow entertainers and fans across social media platforms.


Last month, Simi shared a video on Instagram in which her baby bump was visible. She captioned the post, “From my baby, for my babies,” sparking speculation among followers.


Adekunle Gold and Simi were married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration. In May 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja.
